MARION, IL — A Marion man has been arrested on two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse – a Class 1 felony – and one count of Unlawful Restraint – a Class 4 felony – following a sexual abuse investigation.
Illinois State Police announced Sunday that 41-year-old Christopher L. Sollers was arrested Friday afternoon by ISP Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 7 agents following the issuance of a Jackson County arrest warrant. Marion Police assisted ISP in this investigation.
Sollers was taken to the Williamson County Jail in Marion with a bond set by the court at $5,000/10 percent to apply.
ISP says in March of this year, ISP DCI Zone 7 agents investigated an incident of alleged sexual abuse. Through the course of the investigation, Zone 7 agents were able to locate evidence that supported the allegation and the investigation was turned over to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office.
This investigation led to Sollers’ arrest and the charges against him.
ISP says further information is not available.
