FAYETTE COUNTY — A 23-year-old Effingham man is in the Fayette County Jail following a high-speed pursuit Monday morning with law enforcement in Fayette County.

Jordan J. Kollman was formally charged Tuesday in Fayette County Court with felony aggravated fleeing police and various traffic violations.

According to reports, the pursuit started in St. Elmo Police but was ultimately terminated due to high speeds.

Fayette County deputies then found the vehicle going westbound on the east side of Bluff City where it left the road on the west side of Bluff City and caught fire.

Kollman was arrested for Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding Police and was taken to the Fayette County Jail where he remains awaiting the setting of bail.
