Jefferson County Sheriff Reminding Residents of Back to School Driving Safety Tips

MT. VERNON — The new school year is about to begin for most Southern Illinois school districts and one local sheriff is reminding residents to be careful when driving near area schools.

Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Bullard says there are three important things to remember when driving during the school year.

Mt. Vernon City Schools start classes on August 14th. The first day at MVTHS is the next day, August 15th.
