ILLINOIS (RFD) — Two rural community projects in Illinois have made the top ten group finalists in a national competition. Corteva Agriscience asked farmers to nominate local groups that demonstrate the power to do more in their communities. Lynn Heins of Jackson County nominated “Annies Project,” one of two Illinois finalists.

The other Illinois finalist comes from the Village of Williamsfield. Joanie Stiers serves with the local FFA Alumni and Friends chapter in Knox County. Corteva plans to award the group that receives the most online votes between now and July 8th $10-thousand dollars.
