(MT. VERNON, IL)– The Mt. Vernon Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting roadside safety checks around the city on Friday night. Authorities will be targeting impaired drivers and those committing alcohol and drug related offenses. This detail is made possible by the Mission Possible Coalition.
