The mother of a Southern Illinois University student found dead in Carbondale earlier this year has filed another wrongful death lawsuit. Lovely Varughese is looking to get 100-thousand dollars in damages from an Illinois state trooper. The suit claims the patrol officer could have done more to save Pravin Varughese. The 19-year-old was found dead in a wooded area in February. The family previously sued the City of Carbondale, as well as the former police chief.
