ILLINOIS (RFD) — There’s a cool breeze blowing through much of Illinois as July comes to an end, but not much rain in the forecast as we head toward August says meteorologist Dan Hicks with Freese-Notis Weather.

Over the last couple of days, portions of southern Illinois received anywhere from a half-inch to an inch of rain. Hicks says areas of northwest and west central Illinois are in need of some precipitation to help stabilize crop conditions.
