CARBONDALE, IL — A Jackson County man is facing several charges after crashing his car into the front of a business in the 1200 block of West Main Street in Carbondale Sunday night.

Carbondale Police say around 9:10 p.m., officers responded to TJ’s Fine Jewelry and Repair and found a single vehicle that had crashed into the front of a business causing extensive damage. The Jackson County Ambulance Service drove the driver, 45-year-old Jeffrey P. Bautch of Murphysboro, to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Officers arrested Bautch and issued him citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, No Valid Driver’s License, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.  

There were no other injuries reported as a result of the crash.  Carbondale Police continue to investigate the crash.
