SALEM, IL — A Teutopolis man was injured in a Monday afternoon crash near Salem on Route 37.

Illinois State Police say 18-year-old Austin Lange of Edgewood was southbound around 3:18pm on the highway when he crashed into another pickup truck that was stopped in traffic. The stopped truck was being driven by 60-year-old Charles Wilson of T-Town. Wilson’s truck would then be forced into a semi, driven by 29-year-old Stephen Getz of Eureka, who was waiting to turn onto Tonti Road off IL-37.

Lange was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. ISP say Wilson was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
