CARBONDALE, IL — A Herrin man is facing gun charges after Carbondale Police responded Monday morning to the 1000 block of East Main Street on a report of a road rage incident where a firearm was displayed by the passenger of the suspect vehicle. Police say during the course of the investigation, officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle. They found the passenger, identified as 20-year-old Amari T. Ross of Herrin, to be in possession of a stolen firearm.
Ross was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Ross was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
