MARION COUNTY — Authorities continue to hold tightly to details surrounding the shooting death last week of 31-year-old Wesley Bivens in his rural Salem home. However, Marion County State’s Attorney Tim Hudspeth did confirm in an interview Monday that the details in our weekend news story (link below) on the incident were accurate.

Hudspeth noted that the case remains under very active investigation and noted that an autopsy was performed on Bivens Monday but that he had not yet received any information regarding the patholigist’s findings. The recently seated prosecutor noted that it’s simply his style to play things “close to the vest” and that nothing is unusual with the handling of the investigation. He said he expects to have more information to release later this week.
