SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (WBC/DANA COMM.) — The Southern Illinois Community Foundation says they’ve raised over $150,000 for local non-profits during their GIVE SI event earlier this month.

Michelle Snyder is with the SICF and is the Program Manager for GIVE SI. She says they hoped the event would bring in $30,000, but when all totaled, the event brought in nearly $156,000.

There were more than 930 unique donations made to 80-plus non-profits and community organizations. Those groups started getting their portions of the donations this week.
