WALNUT HILL, IL — A 43-year-old Vernon man was arrested Friday night after he fled from Marion County Sheriff’s deputies in Walnut Hill.

When deputies attempted to stop his vehicle, Seth Lambert reportedly ran his car into a roadside ditch before fleeing on foot into an area with tall weeds.

Deputies warned Lambert to surrender before the K-9 Cody was released into the weeds. The dog quickly located Lambert and held him until deputies took him into custody.

Lambert was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, fleeing and eluding police, resisting a peace officer, driving suspended, and on a prior Marion County warrant charging possession of methamphetamine.
