JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL — The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert motorists traveling on Interstate 57 northbound of upcoming lane reductions in Jefferson County.
Beginning Tuesday, September 15th work will begin on I-57 from approximately 2 miles north of Mt. Vernon to 2 miles south of Dix. Traffic will be reduced to one lane for the contractor to complete patching, milling and resurfacing operations.
The work is expected to take approximately two months.
