WEST FRANKFORT, IL — A special meeting of the Frankfort Community Unit School District #168 Board of Education will be held Thursday night at 6 in the Central Junior High School Library on East Ninth Street in West Frankfort.
Supt. Matt Donkin says due to the Executive Order that resulted from the COVID-19 shut down to keep social distancing standards and meet the requirements of the Open Meetings Act, there will be public access to this meeting by calling 315-758-1289 and using the PIN 881 105 262#.
Donkin says the board will be addressing personnel issues at the meeting. They will also appoint a person to fill a previous vacancy on the Board of Education, elect a secretary to complete a term, and post an advertisement for a vacancy on the Board of Education for the seat held by Amy Durfee.
The board will also look at a recommended policy item from the Illinois Association of School Board’s Policy Division. It will only be to cover what the school district is doing for the current temporary emergency situation.
