HAMILTON COUNTY — Hamilton County voters will decide whether they want to pay a one percent sales tax specifically for public safety needs in the next election. The motion to put the tax on the ballot was approved at Tuesday night’s Hamilton County board meeting.

County board chair Brad Miller says most of the money from that tax would go towards improving ambulance service in the county.

The vote will be on the spring primary ballot. That election is set for March 17, 2020.
