The Primary Center’s third grade chorus led the program off with their own thank you songs for the police in attendance Wednesday morning at the annual Christmas for Cops celebration. Many law enforcement personnel enjoyed the music, thank you’s, and refreshments as they were presented with their gifts from the community.

Coltin Crawford is a patrol officer with the Mt. Vernon Police Department. He says it’s humbling to see the overwhelming support of the community, and he’s always happy to show his lighter side to area kids.

David Keen is the chairman of Christmas for Cops. He says the program was a huge success again this year.

Even though only one card ticketed the cop for being a special police officer,  Christmas for Cops made sure every officer felt the love this holiday season.
