MT. VERNON, IL — You may have seen bags placed on your door by the Mt. Vernon Boy Scout Troop 103 over the weekend. “Scouting for Food” is a national campaign led by the Boy Scouts of America and is going on this week.
Scouting for Food Chairman Debbie Wright says although this is a national campaign, the donations stay local to their respective communities.
All non-perishable food items collected this week will be distributed to local pantries.
Wright says the final day to participate is Saturday, November 16th.
