CARMI, IL — A Harrisburg woman is facing multiple charges after Carmi Police were called to Dollar General on West Main shortly before 3 Thursday afternoon for a report of a retail theft.

According to a Carmi Police report, 56-year-old Ladonna M. Cissna was arrested at the business after she was seen by employees stuffing items in her purse and leaving the store without paying.

A total of $42 worth of unpaid merchandise was found in Cissna’s purse.

Upon her arrest at the store, police found a pipe with meth in it inside Cissna’s purse. She was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cissna was taken to the White County Jail.
