CARMI, IL — Three people were sentenced for various crimes Wednesday in White County Court.

 

According to White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud, 25-year-old Jacob A. Holland was sentenced to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with three years of mandatory supervised release for home invasion, a Class X felony. Holland’s case was investigated by the White County Sheriff’s Department.

 

Thirty-one-year-old Michael J. Sullivan of Carmi was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and one year of mandatory supervised released for aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, and three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and one year of mandatory supervised release for criminal damage to government property, a Class 4 felony.

 

Sullivan was on probation for criminal damage to government property when he committed aggravated battery. This resulted in his probation being revoked with the new sentence being entered in that case and his new case. The Carmi Police Department was the investigating agency in both of Sullivan’s cases.

 

Thirty-two-year-old Seth U. Perry of Crossville was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and four years of mandatory supervised release for domestic battery, a Class 4 felony.

 

Perry had previously been placed on conditional discharge in this case. However, his conditional discharge was revoked with the new sentence being entered after he was convicted of possession of methamphetamine in Edwards County. The White County Sheriff’s Department was the original investigating agency.
