JEFFERSON COUNTY — Bail has been set at $1 million for a 31-year-old Ina man charged in Jefferson County court with alleged possession of child pornography.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Paul Grider last week on multiple counts of possessing child pornography.
Grider’s arrest came as the result of an investigation the sheriff’s office launched July 9 into Grider’s possible possession of child pornography.
As investigators from the sheriff’s office and Ina Police Department assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force worked the case it led them to serve a search warrant at 403 S. Main Street in Ina.
The subsequent search of the residence developed further evidence and led to the arrest Grider’s arrest.
Grider has been formally charged in Jefferson County court with 16 counts Class 2 felony possession of child pornography. If convicted, each Class 2 count is punishable by between 2 and 7 years in prison.
Grider is next due to appear in Jefferson County court August 28 for a preliminary hearing and first appearance with his court appointed attorney.
