MT. VERNON — With the announcement of grant money to replace three boilers at the Jefferson County Justice Center, Sheriff Jeff Bullard is thanking his staff for their hard work into making the money possible, and he’s also talking about the importance of keeping the facility in top shape.
Bullard says because the facility is one of the largest in downstate Illinois, many out of county inmates are housed at the JCJC, and that is an important revenue stream for his department’s budget.
