(Belleville, IL) — An investigation continues following two armed robberies in the Metro East. Belleville police say the first robbery happened Sunday night at the Casey’s General Store on Mascoutah Avenue. A man displaying a handgun made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Only minutes later, an armed man robbed a Midwest Petroleum station five miles away. No arrests have been made.
