(E. St. Louis, IL) — The Army Corps of Engineers is announcing plans for the new National Geospatial Intelligence Agency center. Known as NGA West, the facility could potentially be spread across 182 acres of farmland and woods adjacent to the northeast boundary of Scott Air Force Base. If that site is picked, the facility would bring three-thousand new jobs to St. Clair County, according to officials. Three other finalist sites for the project are either in St. Louis or St. Louis County.
