(MT. VERNON, IL) –The Mt. Vernon City Council is set to meet this evening.  Among items on the agenda, the council will hear bid results for the long range CCTV pipe inspection system.  The city manager will provide a community garden update and Parks Director Wes Plummer will present on proposed bike trails at JC Lake.  The city attorney will give a second reading of an ordinance declaring property surplus, a rezoning ordinance for a property located at 11525 North Illinois Highway 142 from General Agriculture to General Industrial for Continental Tire, a resolution approving an agreement with Roundtable Design Inc. related to the demolition of structures upon the Park Plaza property, and a resolution amending an agreement with the Brennan Klein Field Foundation.  Finally, the mayor will present the Police Officer of the Year award.  The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building.
