(CARLYLE, IL) — A 33-year-old Aviston man has been sentenced in Clinton County Court to 10 years in prison for the 2015 sexual assault of a woman in Aviston. Diago Celada Salazar was found guilty during a November bench trial of two Class 1 felony counts of criminal sexual assault of a person who was unable to consent. Salazar was also ordered to pay $1,755 in restitution to his victim. Salazar was free on $2,000 cash bond at the time of his conviction. That bond was ordered to apply to his restitution, fines and fees.
