(Murphysboro, IL) — A former pastor accused of stealing money from his Carbondale church has taken a plea deal. Prosecutors say 34-year-old Joshua Swain pleaded guilty Wednesday in Jackson County court. As part of the deal he’ll have to pay thousands of dollars back to the View Church and could get 46 months of probation. Swain returns to court March 4th for sentencing.
