(BENTON, IL) — Illinois Department of Transportation announces that there will be a road closure at the railroad crossing on IL 37 South of The Benton Square in Franklin County.  Beginning Monday, January 9, 2017, at 7:00 am and concluding on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 7:00 pm. Crews from the Union Pacific Railroad Company (UPRR) will be performing repairs on the railroad crossing on IL 37. There will be no traffic permitted through the crossing during the repairs. Motorists should follow the marked detour or seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
