(CARLYLE, IL) — Two Centralia men were formally charged Thursday in Clinton County court with felony burglary for an alleged November break-in at a closed tobacco business in Centralia. Both 18-year-old Thomas Armer and 19-year-old Jacob Brothers are facing Class 2 felony burglary charges, stemming from an investigation into a November break-in at the Biggies Tobacco Plus building on West Broadway in Centralia. According to Centralia police, the business had been closed for quite a while at the time of the break-in, but products left inside the store were taken in the days before November 30. An investigation into the burglary led officers to a number of individuals including a few juveniles who were given notices to appear in court. The Clinton County State’s Attorney’s office ultimately opted to charge Armer and Brothers with felony burglary. They’ve been issued notices to appear in court on the charge January 18.
