(Belleville, IL)  —  Voters in St. Clair County will decide this spring if they want to add one-percent sales tax to pay for police and fire services.  County leaders last night approved the tax question.  Voters will decide in April if they want to pay more on everything from clothes to sandwiches to raise nearly 22-million-dollars a year.  Most of the money is earmarked for local police departments and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office.
