(CENTRALIA, IL) — A 25-year-old Centralia man was sentenced Thursday morning in Washington County Court to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty to violating the terms of probation stemming from a 2014 burglary conviction. Sean Michael Kniser initially pleaded guilty in September to Class 1 felony residential burglary in exchange for a sentenced of 48 months probation, with time served along with drug treatment and restitution. In January a probation violation was reported and a petition to revoke Kniser’s probation was filed in February. In addition to the four-year prison sentence, Kniser will have to pay all court costs and fines assessed, but he was given credit for time served in the Washington County Jail.
