Paul Marshall “P.M.” Rose, age 90 of Iuka, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Helia Healthcare in Salem.
P.M. was born on April 4, 1936, in Omega, Illinois, the son of Claude M. and Elsie (See) Rose. He married Rosie (Kuder) Rose on April 23, 2011, in Omega, Illinois at 1880 Christian Church, and together they shared 15 years united in marriage.
Survivors include his children, Joe M. Rose and wife Kathy of Iuka, Gary Rose of Mt. Vernon, Peggy Robb of Salem, Kelly McClain and husband Robert of Haubstadt, Indiana, and Michael J. Stock Jr. and wife Toni of O’Fallon; siblings, Norman Rose and wife Janet of Iuka, Janet Hanks and husband Dale of Decatur, and Wanda White and husband Earl of Salem; eight grandchildren, Kyle M. Rose and wife Shelley, Kristin Ethridge and husband Kevin, Abbey Walsh and husband Nick, Aaron Robb and wife Meredith, Nathan McClain and wife Elaine, Allison Elpers and husband Evan, and Logan McClain, Jayde Hinshaw and husband Blake, James Stock and Carl Stock and wife Emily; and 13 great grandchildren. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Elsie; his brother, Claude Russell Rose; and sisters- in law, Carolyn and Louise Rose.
P.M. worked his family farm for many years, where he raised many farm animals. He loved to travel and fish, but above all else enjoyed his time with his family and his grandchildren.
He was a long-time member of 1880 Christian Church in Omega.
Celebration of Life services for Paul Marshall “P.M.” Rose will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at 1880 Christian Church in Omega with Roy Koduvalil officiating. There will be a time to visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Lovell’s Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lovell’s Grove Cemetery and will be received at the church or at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
