Necie B. Quick, age 92 of Odin, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Odin Health and Rehab Center in Odin, Illinois. Necie was born on August 27, 1933, in Iuka, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Bessie (Howe) Uchitjil. She married Doyle Quick on April 7, 1954, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2001. Survivors include her sons, Gary Quick and wife Cathy of Odin, and Todd Quick and wife Erin of Odin; grandchildren, Courtney Edgeworth of Iuka, Lisa Keller and husband Heath of Troy, Scott Quick and wife Traci of Odin, and Ryan Quick and Montana of Odin; great grandchildren, Riah, Emrie, Ryker, Nolan, Dylan, Skylin, and Rylin; brother, Robert Uchitjil and wife Naida of Odin; sister, Carol Phillips and husband George of Salem; sisters in-law, Linda Uchitjil of Odin, and Rhoda Quick of Lancaster, California; along with several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bessie; husband, Doyle; son, Doyle Kent Quick; brothers, Ralph (Diane), Raymond (Faye), and Leroy Uchitjil; sisters, Mary Booher (Alois), Ann Ruckman (Roland) and Frances Uchitjil; and brothers and sisters in law: Maida and Hal Keistler, and Merle Quick. Necie was of the Christian faith. She worked for several years as a parts manager at Quicks Implement Company in Odin, which she and her husband owned and operated as a family business and later worked at Casey’s where she made donuts and worked until the age of 80. In her free time Necie enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and mowing her own grass. She also played in the Canasta Club. Graveside services for Necie B. Quick will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with Claude Howell officiating.
