(Springfield, IL) — Medical marijuana dispensaries in Springfield and Collinsville have been given the green light by the state, but an application for a dispensary in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood has been denied. The Springfield site, to be operated by HealthCentral near the Old State Capitol was originally listed as “disqualified” under the Quinn administration, but got a second look when Bruce Rauner became governor. State officials didn’t say why an application by IL WelMed to operate a dispensary in Chicago’s south side Hyde Park neighborhood was denied.
