MT. VERNON, IL — A plan announced long ago by Mt. Vernon Township High School officials to partner with the Regional Office of Education #13 and other area programs to educate at-risk youth in the area, is nearing the final stages of completion.
Superintendent of MVTHS, Melanie Andrews was introduced to the business community at the Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on Thursday. She says the Invictus Academy is a collaborative partnership with area programs that truly care about educating youth in the community.
Andrews says there is a chance in the future for further renovations to allow for expansion and partnerships with more youth programs.
