MT. VERNON, IL — The Mt. Vernon City Council suspended the rules Monday night to act on an ordinance changing the banquet room liquor license classification to an event center license classification during their meeting.
City Manager Mary Ellen Bechtel says the ordinance only allows alcohol consumption during a scheduled event at certain types of businesses.
