HAMILTON COUNTY — The Hamilton County Board and the county’s sheriff’s deputies have come to an agreement on a new contract after the board approved the three-year deal at Tuesday night’s meeting.
Included in that contract is a roughly three percent raise for deputies according to Hamilton County Board Vice-Chairman P.E. Cross.
The board tabled an issue regarding a possible solar farm in rural Hamilton County to work out technical issues of the paperwork. The solar farm will likely be brought up again in February. Cross says that county clerk Mary Anne Hopfinger will likely be putting the plans up on the county’s website so the public can give their feedback on the solar farm.
The board will meet again Tuesday, February 18th at 6 p.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse.
