WHITE COUNTY — Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday in White County.
According to Illinois State Police, 39-year-old Travis J. Vaughn of Barnhill was driving his pickup truck east on Illinois 14 and slowed to turn south on County Road 500E. Another driver, 50-year-old Merle E. Langley of McLeansboro was also going east in his pickup truck behind Vaughan and slowed down. However, 43-year-old Jeremy E. RUSH of Springerton, who had been going east in his pickup truck behind Langley for an unknown reason, failed to slow down and struck the rear of Langley’s truck which was pushed into the rear of Vaughan’s truck.
All three trucks came to a final rest off the north side of Illinois 14 with Rush’s truck overturning in a creek.
Vaughan was not hurt. He was released at the scene. Langley and Rush were flown to a regional hospital by Life Flight.
