CARBONDALE — Carbondale Police have released the identity of the pedestrian who was killed after be struck by a train Monday night. It’s 57-year-old Beverly Carvell of Carbondale. Police say at this point in the investigation, there is not any indication of foul play related to the incident that happened around 6 p.m. at the railroad crossing on Main Street.
After officer arrived they determined Carvell was walking eastbound across the tracks and the northbound Canadian National freight train struck and killed her.
The investigation continues.
