MARION COUNTY — A fiery crash Monday morning on Green Street Road sent two people to the hospital for treatment of injuries they suffered.

According to crash reports, around 11:30 Monday morning, 42-year-old Robert Erwin, of Marion, failed to slow for a curve, ran off the road and overturned multiple times in the roadside ditch. His pickup truck then burst into flames.

Erwin and a juvenile male passenger were both able to escape the burning vehicle on their own. They were both transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.
