MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon City Council has approved work to upgrade the deck at the Aquatic Zoo. Assistant City Manager Nathan McKenna says he hopes the work will take a month once work starts after the facility closes for the season after Labor Day.

McKenna says the work is being done to alleviate space issues.

McKenna says just over $60,000 is budgeted to complete the deck project.
