MARION COUNTY — A 36-year-old Vernon woman was charged Monday morning in Marion County Court with possession of methamphetamine that was reportedly discovered as she was being booked into the Marion County Jail on a separate charge.

According to court records, Heidi Wynn has been charged with Class 1 felony possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth that were reportedly found on her person at the jail. Wynn had initially been booked for allegedly violating an order of protection, and is also facing a misdemeanor charge for that reported violation.

A Class 1 felony is punishable by between 4 and 15 years in prison if convicted.

Wynn was arrested Sunday after Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call from her home reporting a domestic disturbance. Following their arrival, deputies reportedly found Wynn in violation of an outstanding order of protection.
