MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon City Council heard a proposal from Roy Schmidt and Ford Square of Mt. Vernon for a lease-to-buy proposal for the city vehicle fleet at a special council meeting Thursday afternoon.
The city is considering two proposals to upgrade their current fleet of work vehicles, one from Ford Square and one from Enterprise.
The council did not come to any decision on the matter at Thursday’s meeting, but it may be on the agenda for Monday’s regular city council meeting.
Also at Thursday’s meeting, the city approved a request to close Pauline Street from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
