MARION COUNTY — Bail was reduced Tuesday in Marion County court to $100,000 for a 32-year-old Centralia woman accused of shooting into her neighbor’s home earlier this month.

Dominika Belt, of Maulding Drive, is charged with Class 1 felony aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied building.

The judge granted a defense motion to reduce Belt’s $200,000 bail and it was lowered to $100,000. If she’s able to post $10,000 cash, the defendant is prohibited to have contact with the alleged victims or their residence.

According to Centralia Police Chief Brian Atchison, an occupant of a duplex on Maulding Drive called 911 on the morning of May 8, to report their neighbor was outside shooting into their home.

The female caller and a male resident of the home had reportedly been involved in a verbal altercation with Belt earlier in the morning and had gone inside when a short time later two rounds were fired through their windows. Those rounds struck interior walls, while a third shot struck the brick exterior of the home.

Atchison explained that the Marion County Housing Authority maintains surveillance cameras at the housing complex on Maulding, so dispatchers at CPD were able to maneuver the cameras and track the subject’s movements.
