EAST ST. LOUIS — A 26-year-old Centralia man is facing a minimum of 15 years in prison when he’s sentenced on three counts of a federal indictment on drug and weapons offenses.

Ryan Jacklin has pleaded guilty to possessing more than 84 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Richland County and that he intended to distribute the meth.

Jacklin also pleaded guilty to possessing a loaded .357 handgun at the time of the traffic stop and that he possessed that weapon in the furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Lastly, he admitted that from about 2014 until September 12, 2016, in Marion and Washington counties he conspired with others to manufacture and distribute between 1.5 and 5 kilograms of a mixture and substance containing meth.

Federal documents show Jacklin pleaded guilty last month to those three counts of a four count indictment. He’s now scheduled to be sentenced September 24 on those offenses.

He is facing between 15 and nearly 20 years in a federal prison. Jacklin has remained in custody since his February 2017 arrest following the traffic stop in Richland County.
