Franklin Hospital will hold a public meeting on Monday, May 14 to provide the public with information regarding the proposed SIH Building Purchase, Facility Upgrades and Refinancing Project.

The meeting will start at 5 p.m. in the conference room at Franklin Hospital in Benton.

The hospital’s board held a special meeting Wednesday to reapprove the resolution authorizing the purchase agreement with SIH for the purchase of the Medical Office Building at 203 Bailey Lane. That’s according to Franklin Hospital’s CEO Jim Johnson.

Johnson says there were some changes to the attachments in the resolution passed at the board’s regular board meeting.

Johnson added that financing for this purchase is through USDA and to refinance some previous loans as well as to finance some of the hospital’s current needs. He says USDA requires a public meeting and that is what is scheduled for May 14.

SIH says once Franklin Hospital purchases the medial office building in Benton, SIH will then lease office space for its current family medicine practice from Franklin Hospital.
