Marion County authorities have taken a fourth person into custody in connection with the recent theft of guns from a parked car north of Salem.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Cory Miller, of Salem, was located Friday by Centralia police and held for sheriff’s deputies who arrested him on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and vehicle burglary.
Miller remains in the Marion County Jail awaiting the formal filing of charges and setting of bail.
Three other Salem residents were arrested last Thursday night and were formally charged Friday in Marion County Court in connection with the same theft.
Bail for 18-year-old Donald Fairchild was set at $25,000 and he was charged with possession of a stolen AK-47 and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
Bail was set at $10,000 for 22-year-old John Phillips and he was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, while 18-year-old Kaylee Hanks was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond after she was charged with burglary.
