(HARRISBURG, IL) — A Harrisburg man is facing several charges after leading police on a vehicle and foot chase Tuesday night in Williamson County. Energy Police Chief Shawn Ladd says at 8:20 p.m., officers saw a car on Samuel Road near Route 13 with several equipment violations. Officers also saw the car disobey a few stop signs and attempted to pull the car over. The car, driven by 34-year-old Aaron Issacson, refused to stop going north on Samuel Road, then east on Grand, then south on Route 148, then west on Route 13 before finally stopping behind a home in Crainville. After stopping, Issacson got out of the car and would not obey officers’ commands to stop. He began to flee on foot. He was caught a short time later after being tasered. Issacson was charged with multiple traffic violations including driving while revoked, aggravated fleeing/eluding, reckless driving and a criminal charge of resisting a peace officer. He was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.  Officers from Crainville, Carterville, Herrin and Williamson County assisted in the pursuit and arrest of Issacson.
