(MT. VERNON, IL) — An 18 year old Mt. Vernon man has become the fifth suspect to plead not guilty to charges in connection with the fatal shooting of DeAndray Jackson. Deon Frazier was formally arraigned Wednesday and entered a not guilty plea to first degree murder and attempted robbery. Frazier is one of eight men indicted in the case. He has a pre-trial hearing of April 5th at 1:30 p.m. and a final pre-trial conference on May 2nd at 1:30 p.m., leading up to his jury trial is set for May 23rd at 9 a.m. Previously, 18 year old LeKedrieon Russell, 22 year old Jarron Liddell, 24 year old Curtis Devan, Jr., and 23 year old Tony Feggins have pleaded not guilty in their court appearances, while 20 year old John Wells, 21 year old Dantrez Brown, and 19 year old Lamar Williams Jr. still face arraignment.
