(HERRIN, IL) — Herrin Police have made an arrest in connection with last Thursday’s armed robbery at Casey’s General Store, located at 1700 N. Park Ave.  According to a police report, both suspects in the surveillance video that was released to the public have been identified and found. After police department detectives finished their investigation, 22-year-old Zyren O. McFarland of Herrin was identified as one of the suspects. He was arrested and cited for robbery. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail. Police say the case has been referred to the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s office for review and prosecution. Police did not say in their press release anything regarding the second suspect, but according to an interview with the Southern Illinoisan, they said the other suspect will not be arrested and did not identify him.
